About Me

Gary Kuepper

Hi, I'm Gary — an engineer, builder, and lifelong learner with a passion for the future of autonomous systems. With a background in mechanical and aerospace engineering and a growing expertise in computer science, I've found my calling at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world problem-solving: autonomous drone swarms and distributed robotics.

My Journey

I hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and am currently pursuing a Computer Science degree at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB). This unique combination gives me a holistic perspective on how mechanical systems and intelligent software come together to create the next generation of robotics.

What Drives Me

I'm fascinated by the potential of fleets of drones working together — from creating mesmerizing light shows to coordinating disaster response and search-and-rescue operations. For me, drone swarms represent the convergence of hands-on engineering, advanced algorithms, and real-world impact.

About This Site

Here, I document my projects and experiments—from Arduino rovers and Raspberry Pi clusters to distributed AI and robotics. Whether I'm wiring up sensors, modeling complex systems, or developing swarm behaviors, I believe in learning by building, breaking, and rebuilding better. If you're interested in collaborating, chatting about robotics, or exploring new ideas, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
