This networking project for CST311: Introduction to Computer Networks involved the design and implementation of a virtualized network environment and a distributed chat application. I focused on building a secure, multi-router topology and extending it with a custom socket-based communication service.
CST311: Computer Networking
Computer Networking provided a survey of telecommunications and data communications, from Local and Wide Area Networks to the intricacies of TCP/IP. I gained hands-on experience through Cisco CCNA labs where I configured network components and analyzed security performance. Understanding the “plumbing” of the internet made the abstract concept of connectivity feel concrete and manageable.
